Vardan Nshanyan Told His Son to Leave His Weapon and Flee 10 Days Ago, Says Parent of Missing Soldier
Parents of missing soldiers are staging a protest in front of the Ejmiatsin military unit. Family members of the attendees have gone missing in the Zangelan region.
One parent stated that they have already contacted the Russian Embassy and will send a letter once again. “In the meantime, we will wait another two days, as Malkhasyan indicated. We don't know why; he is not connected to anything, yet he is always trying to extricate himself from all of this. The others inside, who should be answering questions, are not providing any information.”
Earlier, Malkhasyan had said they would receive permission today or tomorrow to carry out operations in Zangelan.
“Where is their Vardan Nshanyan? His son also serves in this military unit; he told him 10 days ago to leave his weapon and flee, and said, ‘It’s okay, you will be judged for this.’ How will you be judged? Just like that, we will come out dry from under it. Even our commander Arsen Abgaryan told Nshanyan, ‘It’s good that your son wasn’t there.’ Apparently, the other 34 boys mean nothing, but it’s good that Nshanyan’s son fled.”
Following that, they come out and seem to be very happy for no reason. They take photos and say, ‘The boys requested this.’
Later, the lady said that their sons would come back in some way, but the Ejmiatsin military unit will be disbanded.
The parents are preparing to go to the Russian Embassy to seek their assistance.
