Azerbaijanis Approached the Border Patrol of Tegh Community with a White Flag

Information has been released that an incident occurred yesterday on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. In the Tegh community of Syunik Province, which has recently been mapped directly adjacent to Azerbaijan, an advance of enemy soldiers was noticed. They attempted to expand the border by invading Armenian territory.

Details about the incident were clarified by the spokesperson for the Tegh community leader, Arevik Abelyan. “The incident happened yesterday, their armed forces representatives approached the border patrol of the Tegh community with a white flag. The topic was related to the borders. Our guys immediately contacted the community leader Nerses Shadunts, who instructed them not to take a single step back from their positions. The conversation was led by the administrative leader of Aravus, Argam Hovsepyan, who is also the commander of the patrol. The discussion was calm and proceeded without any conflict. The Azerbaijanis suggested retreating to the line as specified in the November 9 agreement for their units to also hold their positions. Our guys did not concede; they stated that they were in the right position and proposed their own option, which was to assume positions a bit further away. They left, promising that they would discuss and meet again,” Abelyan mentioned.

When asked what language they communicated with the enemy, Arevik Abelyan noted that the administrative leader of Aravus speaks their language excellently and negotiated in their language.
