Armenia Needs the Diaspora, the Diaspora Needs the Homeland: Denis Djorcaeff
The Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs reports that Yuri and Denis Djorcaeff were received in the office. High Commissioner Zareh Sinanyan first thanked the Franco-Armenian brothers for the immense assistance provided to Armenia during the war and expressed hope that this cooperation would deepen over time.
Deputy Mayor of Dessin, Denis Djorcaeff, emphasized that during the war, there was particularly close and effective work with the Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs. “Armenia needs the diaspora, and the diaspora needs the homeland,” stated Denis Djorcaeff.
World football champion Yuri Djorcaeff highlighted that he has always been involved in helping Artsakh and is willing to continue that support.
During the meeting, several directions regarding cooperation with the Franco-Armenian community were discussed. High Commissioner Zareh Sinanyan, accompanied by the Djorcaeff brothers, visited the “We Are Armenian” united charitable foundation that operates thanks to the efforts of the diaspora, particularly the Franco-Armenians. The foundation provides humanitarian assistance to the people of Artsakh. The guests toured the foundation and met with young French-Armenian volunteers.
