Several Arab television channels, citing Iraqi sources, have reported that one of the commanders of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Muslim Shahdan, was killed in western Iraq near the Syrian border.
According to РИА Новости, referencing data from Al-Arabiya, an airstrike by an unmanned aerial vehicle targeted the vehicle in which Shahdan was traveling on Sunday evening. The incident occurred as the vehicle was passing through the Al-Qaim checkpoint.
It is noted that in addition to the commander, three other individuals who were accompanying him also lost their lives.
The Lebanese television channel Al-Mayadeen, citing its own sources, denies the report regarding the IRGC commander's death.
