Armenian Defense Minister Discusses Work of Russian Humanitarian Center in Nagorno-Karabakh with Russian Ambassador
On November 30, the Armenian Minister of Defense Vagharshak Harutyunyan received the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Armenia, Sergey Kopirkin.
Ambassador Kopirkin congratulated Vagharshak Harutyunyan on assuming the position of Minister of Defense.
During the meeting, the parties appreciated the dynamics of Armenian-Russian allied cooperation and political dialogue, as well as effective collaboration in the defense sector.
The Armenian Minister of Defense particularly emphasized the role and efforts of the Russian Federation in implementing the provisions of the statement signed on November 10 of this year among Armenia, the Russian Federation, and Azerbaijan, aimed at stabilizing the military-political situation in the region and the effectiveness of the peacekeeping mission being carried out in Artsakh.
The parties also highlighted the work of the Russian inter-agency humanitarian center established in the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh, which is aimed at facilitating the return of refugees, restoring civilian infrastructure, searching for the deceased, captives, and missing persons, and coordinating the activities of various humanitarian organizations.
