Fire Erupts in Yerevan Apartment Early Morning, Injuring Young Children

A fire broke out early this morning in one of the apartments on Vardanyan Street No. 127/3 in Yerevan. The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that the alarm was received at 06:12.

Two fire and rescue teams, an aerial ladder, an operational group from the National Crisis Management Center, and a duty psychologist from the Psychological Support Department were dispatched to the scene.

The fire was contained by 06:48 and extinguished by 06:53. The living room suffered heat damage, and a couch was burned.

Residents Lusine M. (born 1997) suffered burns to the leg, and Tigran B. (born 1994) sustained burns to the hand, both requiring hospitalization at the National Burn Center. Raphael B. (8 months old) and Gayane B. (approximately 3 years old) were taken to Arabkir Medical Center. Gayane G. (born 1972) received on-site medical assistance from paramedics.

Firefighters evacuated six residents. The psychologist from the Psychological Support Department provided psychological assistance to the citizens.
