VIDEO: Police Discover Grenade with Detonator in Kotayk Region

On November 24, police officers from the Kotayk division and traffic police serving the Kotayk region checked a 24-year-old resident of Dilijan who was driving an Opel car in the Verin Ptghni village's stationary checkpoint.

During the inspection, they discovered a grenade with a detonator and a bullet for a firearm in the vehicle. The car, along with the driver, was transported to the Kotayk police division.

It was revealed that the ammunition had been acquired days earlier during combat operations. We once again urge individuals to voluntarily surrender illegally held weapons and ammunition to the police to avoid criminal liability. Activities are ongoing.
