VIDEO: Car Crashes Into Angela Merkel's Office Gates in Berlin

A passenger car with anti-government slogans has crashed into the gates of Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel's office in Berlin. The incident resulted in only the driver being injured, who was transported by ambulance.

The black Volkswagen, as reported by local media, is registered in the Lippe district of North Rhine-Westphalia. Its owner is a prominent opponent of the quarantine measures imposed by the authorities to curb the spread of COVID-19.

Written on the side of the car that hit the gates is the message: "You are murderers of children and the elderly." Witnesses reported that the protesting driver was removed from the vehicle and placed in a wheelchair, after which law enforcement began to search the car.

It is noteworthy that on Wednesday morning, Merkel was scheduled to conduct a video conference with the Prime Ministers of the German federal states to discuss the extension of the lockdown and further steps in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
