The Issue of Recognizing Artsakh May Be Brought to Parliament: Arman Yeghoyan

The issue of recognizing Artsakh has been discussed at the parliamentary level since the first days of the war. Today, during a parliamentary briefing in the National Assembly, MP Arman Yeghoyan from the "My Step" faction stated this in response to journalists' questions about why Armenia has not recognized Artsakh's independence.

Yeghoyan mentioned that if Artsakh had been recognized during the war, Armenia would have had to acknowledge the losses that had already occurred, and therefore it was decided to wait for a certain breakthrough.

"If we haven't recognized [Artsakh], how can we provide inter-state loans to Artsakh?" Yeghoyan emphasized, noting that he cannot say how much Artsakh's recognition would affect military operations and the subsequent recognition process of Artsakh.

The MP did not rule out that the issue of recognizing Artsakh could be brought to parliament at this stage.
