The Status of Nagorno-Karabakh Will Be Determined in the Future, Says Putin
The President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, has commented on the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh. This was reported by RIA Novosti.
“There are thousands of casualties and injured in Nagorno-Karabakh. This is not a film; it is a tragedy involving real people. Therefore, the main achievement is the cessation of bloodshed,” he stated.
President Putin noted that there is no clarity regarding the final status of Nagorno-Karabakh, as Moscow maintains the status quo. “If there are normal relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, then the issue of the status of Nagorno-Karabakh can also be resolved,” he added.
According to Putin, Nagorno-Karabakh needs time for a peaceful life to return to people's homes; the wounds have not yet healed. He also mentioned that an agreement on the Nagorno-Karabakh issue provides the opportunity to stabilize the situation in the future.
