Today, President Armen Sarkissian received the credentials of the newly appointed Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Canada to Armenia, Allison Mary LeClair (residing in Moscow). The President expressed confidence that the newly appointed ambassador would dedicate her efforts and abilities to developing mutually beneficial cooperation between the two friendly countries. “Although our countries are geographically distant from each other, we have significant opportunities for cooperation,” emphasized the President of Armenia.
Ambassador LeClair stated that it is an honor for her to represent Canada in Armenia. “I look forward to continuing the strong and friendly relations with your country. I want to emphasize that we are committed to supporting Armenia during these challenging times,” said the ambassador.
President Sarkissian also addressed the consequences of Azerbaijani-Turkish military aggression against Artsakh and, in this context, the situation created in the country.
