I Am Committed to My Oath and Will Diligently Fulfill My Duties: Janzhughazyan on His Resignation
The Minister of Finance of Armenia, Atom Janzhughazyan, recently announced from the podium of the National Assembly that he continues to carry out his duties: "I am committed to my oath and will diligently fulfill my duties that I have undertaken," said the minister. After this statement, Janzhughazyan began to present the draft budget for 2021.
The minister reiterated that the budget draft was developed before the war, in September. However, he assured that adopting it today is as important as the cardiovascular system for the normal functioning of a person's life.
“We have obligations under international agreements; we have obligations established by law; we have obligations set within the framework of governmental powers. As long as this scope of obligations has not been reviewed due to changes in circumstances, discussions about changes to the budget are at least problematic,” Janzhughazyan said.
