Kremlin Evaluates Ankara's Intent to Send Turkish Soldiers to Azerbaijan
The press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, explained that Ankara's intention to send military personnel to Azerbaijan is a fulfillment of procedures stipulated by Turkey's domestic legislation, according to РИА Новости.
Earlier, it was reported that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan had submitted a bill to the country's parliament regarding the deployment of troops to Azerbaijan.
"The matter is that there will be a monitoring center in Azerbaijani territory, where Turkish soldiers need to be sent — this is a fulfillment of procedures established by Turkish domestic law. This is Turkey's internal affair," Peskov clarified.
He also noted that the establishment of a monitoring center in Azerbaijani territory is "the result of a bilateral agreement between Russia and Turkey."
