France to Participate in Upcoming OSCE Minsk Group Meetings on Nagorno-Karabakh

France will participate in the upcoming OSCE Minsk Group meetings on the Nagorno-Karabakh issue scheduled for next week in Moscow and then at the UN, announced French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian, according to TASS.

“The ceasefire in Nagorno-Karabakh is, of course, good news, but it is necessary that it be fully maintained. Now, it is essential to move forward towards the resolution of the conflict based on the agreements reached,” stated the French Foreign Minister.

He emphasized that the institution of the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group was established for conflict resolution and continues to function. “The co-chairs of the Minsk Group include Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, and myself. A meeting is planned in Moscow next week at the initiative of the co-chairs, followed by another in New York,” Le Drian noted.
