Armenian Side Is Doing Everything to Prevent Any Inconvenience to Friendly Iran, Prime Minister
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has addressed the issue of shells landing in Iranian territory from the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone and the entry of numerous drones into Iranian airspace. In an interview with the Iranian IRNA agency, the Prime Minister expressed regret if such incidents have been recorded from the Armenian side as well.
“To be honest, I do not have very specific information on this matter, but I can assure you that the Armenian side is doing everything possible to ensure that its friendly country Iran experiences no inconvenience and that such incidents do not occur. The Armenian side is doing everything in its power to avoid such incidents, and I assure you that it will be even more vigilant in this regard moving forward,” said the Prime Minister.
A number of drones have fallen in Iran, with the most recent incident occurring on October 20. On the morning of October 13, Iranian media also reported that a drone had fallen in the fields near the village of Uzuntape, close to the city of Parsabad in Ardabil Province, which was almost undamaged. Specialized media, analyzing the images of the downed drone that circulated in Iranian media, were convinced that it belonged to Azerbaijan and was of the Israeli-made ‘Harop’ type. Since the escalation of the Karabakh conflict, around 60 shells have landed in Khoda Afarin. Official Tehran has warned that no shell should reach Iran from the conflict zone.
