Ara Abrahamyan Responds to Aliyev's Accusations: 'I Learned from Him that I Am Sending Weapons There'

The President of the Union of Armenians in Russia, Ara Abrahamyan, has responded to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, who earlier claimed that "Armenian businessmen living in Russia, including Karapetyan and Abrahamyan, are sending missile systems and other weapons from Russia to Yerevan via civilian aircraft."

Abrahamyan emphasized that he is exclusively sending humanitarian aid to Artsakh. "I learned from him that I am sending weapons there. We in Russia have a state monopoly on weapons, and they are not sold in the marketplaces. For Aliyev, this disinformation is justifiable for his actions. But Turkey is supplying a large amount of weapons and mercenaries there. The fact that we are sending humanitarian aid is undeniable. That is normal," he stated.

He also noted that they are sending items that are necessary for the civilian population: "We are even sending lanterns from here. No one thought that such barbarism would occur."
