Any Violation Against Armenia's Territorial Integrity Will Receive an Appropriate Response: Ministry of Foreign Affairs
The continuous attempts by Azerbaijan to expand the geography of the conflict and thereby deal an irreparable blow to the entire regional security system are extremely condemnable, stated the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia in a released statement, which we present below:
“On the evening of October 16, Azerbaijan once again targeted civilian settlements in Artsakh, including the capital of the Republic of Artsakh, Stepanakert. As a result, three civilian residents of the Shosh community have been injured.
At the same time, the Armenian air defense systems recorded flights of Azerbaijani drones toward the communities of Khnatsakh, Arzvaniya, and Davit Bek in the Syunik region of the Republic of Armenia, during which strikes were also aimed at the infrastructure of the RA Armed Forces, damaging civilian infrastructure as well. Fortunately, there were no casualties or injuries.
It is noteworthy that just hours earlier, the Azerbaijani side also disseminated provocative and absolutely false information about the alleged shelling of the Ordubad community in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic by the Armed Forces of Armenia. Following this wave of misinformation, which is characteristic of their traditional modus operandi, came actual aggression against the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia.
Azerbaijan's incessant attempts to expand the geography of the conflict and thereby deal an irreparable blow to the entire regional security system are severely condemnable. Any violation against Armenia's territorial integrity will receive an appropriate response,” the statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia reads.
