Ankara Does Not Recognize Crimea as Russian Territory: Erdogan

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has stated that Ankara does not recognize Crimea as Russian territory and supports Ukraine's territorial integrity. This was reported by РИА «Новости».

The announcement was made during a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, who is on a working visit to Turkey.

“Turkey views Ukraine as a key country in ensuring the stability and security of our region. For this reason, we have always supported and will continue to support Ukraine's territorial integrity and sovereignty,” Erdogan said.

The Turkish leader added that Ankara does not recognize the peninsula's “occupation” and will support the Crimean Tatars along with Ukraine.
