Kadyrov Reports Neutralization of Foreign Militants in Chechnya
The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, stated on his Telegram channel that the criminals who organized a shooting in the capital city of Grozny arrived from abroad.
"Law enforcement agencies received information in advance that members of illegal armed groups had arrived from abroad, and special operational measures were undertaken to detect them," noted the republic's leader.
It is known that local residents also assisted in the search for the criminals, reporting the presence of suspicious individuals in a neighboring house to the relevant authorities.
Kadyrov also added that weapons, ammunition, and communication devices were found with the neutralized militants. It was indicated that they were preparing to carry out terrorist activities in the region.
Reports indicate that special police units were the first to arrive at the scene, engaging in a confrontation with the militants, resulting in losses on their side as well.
According to the republic's head, families of the fallen fighters of the Russian Guard will receive "multifaceted support."
"The situation in the capital of the Chechen Republic and throughout the region is currently stable and calm. There are no restrictions in place, and movement is free. All services are operating as usual. Security forces acted as professionally, skillfully, and covertly as possible," Kadyrov added.
