Israeli Supreme Court Denies Motion to Prohibit Arms Supply to Azerbaijan
The Israeli Supreme Court has rejected a motion to impose a ban on the sale of arms to Azerbaijan, citing a lack of evidence to justify the request based on "evidence lacking regarding justifications for war crimes against Armenia." This was reported by JPost.
Judge Yosef Elron stated that the submission did not contain sufficient evidence to warrant a hearing.
Notably, activist Eli Joseph, who filed the motion, has declared a hunger strike following the decision.
Previously, the Israeli organization 'Lev Yehudi' (Jewish Heart) had filed a lawsuit in the Supreme Court demanding an immediate cessation of arms supplies to Azerbaijan. The case was brought against Defense Minister Benny Gantz and the head of the Ministry of Defense's Foreign Relations Department, Rachel Heni.
