Two Foreign Nationals Found Near Yerevan's Muratsan Hospital are Citizens of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, Engaged in Manual Labor: NSS
The National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia has officially reported that the news about the presence of two Azerbaijani individuals near the Muratsan hospital complex in Yerevan, which circulated last night, is not true. This was stated by the NSS.
As a result of comprehensive operational and investigative measures undertaken by the National Security Service, as well as search activities carried out in collaboration with representatives of the Armenian police and local government bodies, two foreign nationals observed by citizens were found in an urgent manner.
During the clarification process, no information was obtained regarding these individuals having connections with the opponent or being involved in the ongoing conflict.
It turned out that they are citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Tajikistan, who, due to circumstances, have been temporarily residing in the Republic of Armenia since March 2020 and are engaged in manual labor. They are living in Yerevan on a rental basis, and their departure from Armenia has been postponed due to restrictions related to the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
The National Security Service of Armenia expresses its gratitude to citizens for their vigilance and again urges them to promptly report any suspicious individuals or phenomena to the relevant authorities.
