In a report published on September 30, the publication cited its sources stating that "30 fighters were trapped due to poor planning three days ago and perished."

In addition, activists on social media have circulated a photo of another mercenary named Muhammad Shaalan, who is a militant of the Syrian opposition. According to the publication, he was also killed during clashes between Azerbaijani and Armenian armed forces.
