At Least 4 Injured, Including One Fatality: Artak Beglaryan on the Shelling of Stepanakert
In a targeted strike on the building of the Emergency Situations Service, Azerbaijan has evidently aimed at a structure performing humanitarian functions. Seven people have been injured, including both civil servants and other civilians. This was announced by Artsakh's Human Rights Defender, Artak Beglaryan.
According to the Defender, the attack on the emergency services building grossly violates international humanitarian law and constitutes a clear war crime committed by Azerbaijan.
“Yesterday evening, Azerbaijan launched three missiles towards various parts of Stepanakert, resulting in civilian casualties and damage to civilian objects. There are at least four injured, and there is one confirmed death, although details are still being clarified. Two residential buildings in Stepanakert have sustained significant damage. Fortunately, there were few people in the buildings at the time, which reduced the number of injuries. The targeting of a bus transporting journalists in Martakert today also caused some damage; however, thankfully, there were no human casualties. This is a continuation of yesterday's similar attack,” he noted.
