Casualties Reported from Kotayk Region During Military Operations

Dear residents of Kotayk,

It is with deep sorrow that we report casualties from the Kotayk region due to the ongoing military operations along the Artsakh-Azerbaijan border.

The funeral of fallen serviceman Avag Grisha Melikyan, born in 1978, will take place today at 11:00 AM from the mourning hall on Youth Street in Charentsavan.

The memorial service for conscript soldier Zhora Karen Gevorgyan, born in 2001, will be held today at 5:00 PM at the St. Astvatsatsin Church in Meghradzor.

The memorial service for conscript soldier Davit Samveli Hakobyan, also born in 2001, will take place today at 6:00 PM in the mourning hall adjacent to the Abovyan Cemetery (32/31/1 Saralanj Street).

The Kotayk Regional Administration, through acting governor Arnak Avetisyan, extends its deepest condolences and support to the families, relatives, and friends of the deceased soldiers. Understanding the emotional gravity of the situation, we nonetheless urge everyone to adhere to pandemic safety regulations, minimizing human gatherings as much as possible.
