Four Civilians Killed Due to Azerbaijani-Turkish Military Aggression, Ombudsman Reveals Names
The Human Rights Defender of Artsakh has identified four civilian names that were killed as a result of targeting by Azerbaijani armed forces during a fact-finding mission regarding incidents of attacks on the civilian population of the Republic of Artsakh. This was reported by the Artsakh Ombudsman.
The list is as follows:
- Viktoria Gevorgyan, Martuni city, born in 2011, killed by shelling in their backyard. At the same time, V. Gevorgyan's mother and brother were also injured.
- Ellada Balayan, Martuni city, born in 1961, killed by shelling in her backyard.
- Lesmonia Stepanyan, Hadrut city, born in 1941, killed by a drone strike in her apartment. L. Stepanyan had lost an arm in an explosion in her yard in 1992, and later her son was killed in the war.
- Erik Grigoryan, Stepanakert city, born in 1996, killed by shelling near the village of Mets Shen in the Martakert region.
The Ombudsman continues the fact-finding mission, during which more than 30 civilian injuries, 4 deaths, and extensive material and infrastructural damage have been reported.
