22-Year-Old Lieutenant Son Killed in Unequal Battle Against the Enemy, Says Smbat Mazmanyan's Father

Smbat Hmayaki Mazmanyan was killed on September 27 in the defensive positions of the Jabrail region of the Hadrut area during an unequal battle against the enemy. This was stated by the father of the fallen soldier, Hmayak Mazmanyan.

“My 22-year-old son, Lieutenant Smbat Mazmanyan (he had completed 1 year and 1 month of service), was heroically killed. He graduated with a red diploma in 2019 from the Faculty of Mathematics at Yerevan State Pedagogical University and was an experienced beekeeper. Like many of the fallen, my son was still very young, unmarried, and was on the front line,” wrote the father of the fallen soldier.

It is worth recalling that on September 27, around 07:15, Azerbaijan launched an attack along the entire length of the contact line of the Artsakh-Azerbaijani armed forces using artillery and strike drones, targeting even settlements located deep in the rear. Since that day, a state of martial law has been declared in Armenia and Artsakh. The fighting continues.
