The Schedule for the 2022 World Cup Qualifying Matches is Approved

On September 24, in the capital of Hungary, Budapest, a meeting of the UEFA Executive Committee took place, during which several important decisions were made. In particular, the schedule for matches of national teams in 2021 was approved:

• March 22-31, 2021 - 3 matches
• May 31 - June 8, 2021 - Friendly matches ahead of EURO 2020
• August 30 - September 8, 2021 - 3 matches
• October 4-12, 2021 - 2 matches
• November 8-16, 2021 - 2 matches
• March 21-29, 2022 - Qualifying playoff matches

The UEFA Executive Committee decided to maintain the amendment allowing the number of substitutions to increase from 3 to 5. This decision applies to the group stage of the UEFA Nations League, playoff qualification rounds, qualifying matches for the UEFA Women’s Championship, as well as group stage matches in the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, and UEFA Women’s Champions League.
