FFA Imposes Penalties for Insults, Explosions, and Other Violations
The Football Federation of Armenia held another meeting of the Disciplinary and Ethics Committee.
Ararat-Armenia, the reigning champion of Armenia, has been fined 100,000 AMD due to chants of insults directed at the referee by the team's supporters during a match against Lori, violating the provisions of the COVID-19 prevention guidelines for the FFA’s professional football competitions of the 2020-21 season.
West Armenia, competing in the First League, has been penalized with an 80,000 AMD fine for a series of infractions, including a mechanical fourth referee board during the cup match against Gandzasar-Kapan, failure to participate in the pre-match consultation by the organizer club's match organizer, absence of credentials, and lack of radio communication.
The Ararat Football Club will pay a 50,000 AMD fine to the FFA for the use of explosive fireworks and pyrotechnics by their fans during the cup match against Sevan.
