Hrayr Tovmasyan Fails to Report to Work: Details on the Situation at the Constitutional Court

The newspaper "Zhoghavorud" reports that details have emerged regarding the situation at the Constitutional Court. According to our information, former President of the Constitutional Court, now a regular member, Hrayr Tovmasyan has also begun mirroring Vahe Grigoryan's actions by not showing up for work, despite his leave having long expired.

Recall that Hrayr Tovmasyan, together with Arevik Petrosyan, went on a leave of absence for 35 and 51 working days respectively starting June 25, after which sessions at the Constitutional Court ceased due to lack of quorum. In response, Acting President of the Constitutional Court Ashot Khachatryan decided to recall the judges who were on leave.

According to the operational procedures of the Constitutional Court, the president has the authority to recall a judge from leave to ensure the normal functioning of the court. Although judges Hrayr Tovmasyan and Arevik Petrosyan returned from leave on August 10, Tovmasyan has not reported back to work.

It is worth mentioning that Tovmasyan lost his position as President of the Constitutional Court due to constitutional changes, and the authorities of judges Hrant Nazaryan, Alvina Gyulumyan, and Felix Tokhyan were prematurely terminated.
