We Are Tired of This Unacceptable Behavior, There Are No Nerves Left: Edmon Marukyan

In 2017, it was planned to open a gas cylinder factory in Vanadzor. The same statement was made in 2018, indicating an investment of $30 million. This was noted today by Edmon Marukyan, the leader of the 'Enlightened Armenia' faction, during a press conference with journalists in the National Assembly.

“For our city, this could have had an effect similar to that of 'Khimprom.' We were all happy and waiting for that investment. The Prime Minister went and participated in the opening. Our deputy asks what happened, and the Prime Minister says he doesn't remember. We remind them that you even tested the vehicle. After that, a media outlet owned by the Prime Minister's family went to Vanadzor, where this person supposedly organized a press conference to showcase the investments, during which offensive remarks were made about me and our deputies. We are tired of this unacceptable behavior; there are no nerves left,” said Marukyan.

He pointed out that at first, they promised 80 jobs, then increased it to 300-400 jobs, yet the factory currently has only 7 employees. If we exclude the director, the guard, and the accountant, only 4 people are producing cylinders. Now, if we ask about the investment, is it a problem that counter-propaganda is commissioned in response?” added Marukyan. He noted that this is an attack to silence people. “Their mouths will not be shut, the questions will not end, they will constantly be raised.”
