"The Prime Minister has painted his plane in a new design, while telling people to smoke one less pack of cigarettes": Marukyan on Pashinyan
"Why has the Prime Minister painted his plane in a new design, while telling people to smoke one less pack of cigarettes, drink one less bottle of vodka, and save that money?" said Edmond Marukyan, the leader of the opposition Bright Armenia faction, during a conversation with reporters.
Regarding the observation that the expenses involved contain information considered state, secret, and commercial, and that the government does not publish the amount spent, Marukyan noted: "This was done by the previous authorities, and this government criticized us for it. Now they have come to power and are behaving in the same way. The funds for painting the plane cannot be kept secret from the people; there is no state secret there. A government that calls on the people to be frugal must itself be the most frugal; a revolutionary government should work like a monk."
