Prime Minister's Service Aircraft Not Painted for $250,000, But I Cannot Disclose the Figure, Aghajanyan Says

According to the law, the information about the aircraft serving the Prime Minister is classified. This was stated by the head of the Government Staff, Eduard Aghajanyan, during a conversation with journalists after the meeting of the ruling party, discussing rumors regarding the funding for painting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's plane. Tert.am reports.

It is noted that according to circulating media reports, $250,000 has been allocated for the painting of the government Airbus A319 servicing Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. Eduard Aghajanyan denied this information. “That figure does not correspond to reality, but unfortunately, I cannot disclose that number considering the confidentiality standards,” he said. When asked what the priority was for modifying the Prime Minister's aircraft, Aghajanyan indicated that there was a problem as the paint was partially fading and peeling off.

He mentioned that he is currently not authorized to disclose what work is being done for the plane's modification. In response to a comment that there were discussions about purchasing a new aircraft, he replied, “Close that topic. No, there was no talk of buying a new aircraft; I have addressed that topic multiple times. The issue is closed.”
