‘Jhoghovurd’. Several MPs from the ‘My Step’ faction will receive new positions. Which names are circulating?

Upcoming staffing changes are expected within the government. According to information from the ‘Jhoghovurd’ newspaper, several MPs from the National Assembly’s ‘My Step’ faction will be assigned new positions and will transition to executive roles.

These decisions are being made during the meetings of the governing board of the 'Civil Contract' party. Notably, the last board meeting took place on September 15, and it’s remarkable that this time board members gathered not at the party's office, but at the residence of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. During this meeting, the question of staffing changes within the government was discussed, particularly regarding changes to ministerial and deputy ministerial positions. It was here that the Prime Minister expressed his intention to bring many board members into executive roles.

Our sources indicate that among the MPs in question is Arman Boshyan, and discussions are underway regarding his potential appointment to a responsible position. Concurrently, the appointment of MP Suren Grigoryan as Deputy Minister of Justice in place of Srpuhi Galayan was also discussed during the meeting. However, there is not yet a unified decision on this matter, and not all board members are in favor of this option.

Regarding MP Varazdat Karapetyan, it appears that he is particularly interested in this matter and wishes to transition from the legislative branch to an executive role.

Additionally, according to ‘Jhoghovurd’, the meeting also addressed Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports Arayik Harutyunyan, who was present at the meeting. He was spoken to rather harshly, with members indicating that the opposition has focused on the minister's work, and that issues need to be addressed.

It should be noted that staffing changes are generally discussed in this format, and the decision to send Armen Pambukhchyan to the Ministry of Emergency Situations was also made in a similar manner. Furthermore, these transitions are expected to be finalized between October and November,” the newspaper writes.
