Hraparak: Newly Elected Constitutional Court Judges to Take Oath Today - Who Will Be Elected President of the Court

The Constitutional Court held its first session in a long time the day before yesterday, which had been scheduled during the procedural session on June 23. The agenda for September 15 included two questions; one was not addressed, and no decision was made on the other. Regarding this unprecedented situation in the Constitutional Court, Edgar Ghazaryan, the head of the Constitutional Court staff, noted on his page that a remarkable fact in the history of the Court is that 'the schedule of sessions is empty.' The reason for this is that, following the constitutional changes, no procedural sessions have been held, no decisions have been made, and no session dates have been set.

Today, the oath-taking ceremony for the three newly elected judges of the Constitutional Court will take place in the National Assembly, after which the Supreme Court will elect its president from among its members within ten days. It is not excluded that Edgar Shatiryansh may take on this role.
