Health Ministry Responds to Open Letter from Hematology Center Doctors
The Ministry of Health has responded to the resignation requests and open letter from the doctors of the Children's Cancer and Blood Diseases Center.
The Ministry deems it unethical to exploit patients' health when the director's contract has merely expired. This was reported by the Ministry of Health.
Samvel Danielyan, director of the Prof. R. Yolyan Hematology Center, was aware that his employment contract had expired on October 1, as he signed it on January 14, 2019.
The Ministry of Health also recalls that when the previous director of the same center was dismissed and Samvel Danielyan was appointed as acting director, some staff members obstructed his entry into the medical facility.
It should be noted that the Ministry of Health has notified Samvel Danielyan, the director of the Prof. R. Yolyan Hematology Center, that his contract expires on October 1. This follows the resignation request from Gevorg Tamamyan, the head of the Children's Cancer and Blood Diseases Center.
All doctors from the Children's Cancer and Blood Diseases Center have submitted resignation requests and sent an open letter to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, stating that, considering the unreasonable and illogical decision made, they request a review of the decision to allow for the continuation of unfinished projects aimed at the development of the sector.
