Anna Hakobyan Had Her Candidate for the Director of the Hematology Center

Earlier today, Anna Hakobyan announced on her Facebook page that she is resigning from her responsibilities as the chair of the Board of Trustees of the "City of Smiles" foundation. AntiFake.am has learned the reasons behind Anna Hakobyan's decision.

According to sources, Anna Hakobyan's decision is connected to an earlier decision made by Nikol Pashinyan. "About an hour ago, Nikol Pashinyan announced on his Facebook page that he has instructed the Minister of Health to extend the employment contract with the director of the R. Yolyan Hematology Center. As you remember, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia had decided to terminate the contract of the center's director, Samvel Danielyan.

The issue was that Professor Danielyan was not favored by Anna Hakobyan, who had her preferred candidate for the position. Due to Anna Hakobyan's persistent efforts, Arsen Torosyan had made the decision to dismiss Danielyan in favor of Hakobyan's nominee. This decision by Arsen Torosyan received a severe backlash from the medical staff of the Hematology Center, who one after another had stated that in protest against Torosyan's illegal decision to terminate the director's powers, they would also resign or would cease their duties if the illegal decision was not revoked.

Considering the already tense situation in the country and medical institutions, and understanding that the situation could become even more explosive, Nikol Pashinyan decided to backtrack on his decision to dismiss Professor Danielyan. However, Anna Hakobyan, absorbed in her desire to appoint her candidate to that position, insisted on continuing the initiated illegal process, stating that instead of the departing medical workers, "their people" would also be appointed. This was opposed by Nikol Pashinyan, who announced on his Facebook page about his instruction to Arsen Torosyan, according to which the work contract of the director of the R. Yolyan Hematology Center should be extended.

Following this announcement, the Prime Minister's wife declared that in that case, she too would resign from her responsibilities as the chair of the Board of Trustees of the "City of Smiles" charitable foundation, and in response to Nikol Pashinyan's Facebook post, she also made a Facebook post to inform the public about this.
