We insist that the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict should have a compromise-based solution: Zohrab Mnatsakanyan

Armenia and Egypt have a very deep and rich bilateral agenda. This was stated by Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan in an interview with the Egyptian "Nile TV" channel.

"We also have important platforms for dialogue and cooperation and share many common positions on various regional and international issues. One of the most important principles is our firm commitment to peace, security, and stability in our regions, and in this regard, we have many commonalities," he said.

Referring to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, he stated, "We have our security challenges in the South Caucasus. Among them is the unresolved conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh, where our priority is the existential physical safety of our compatriots in Artsakh and the status of Artsakh. We are engaged in negotiations that are not so easy. We insist that the conflict can only be resolved peacefully, and we maintain that it must have a compromise-based solution, and there cannot be a solution that is not based on a balance of positions and interests. We are committed to working towards peace and security, and the peaceful resolution of the conflict."
