This is Everyone's Issue: Traders Protest Again in Front of the Government

Traders gathered again today, September 16, in front of the Government. They express dissatisfaction with the new customs regulations, demanding that the current system remains unchanged.

It is noteworthy that the participants of the protest had previously met with the head of the State Revenue Committee, Edvard Hovhannisyan, regarding this issue but left unsatisfied.

“This is everyone’s issue. Anyone who has a shop should close it and come here. We are here today until they find a solution to our issue. During this crisis, there can’t even be a discussion about price increases. Show me a country where there has been a price hike or an increase in tax burdens. The revenue committee has turned the people against the government. We want things to remain the same. We want to work with our heads down. We are asking for a meeting with the Prime Minister to find a solution. Let the Prime Minister address our issue; he doesn’t even have to meet with us,” said one of the protesters.
