Lars Highway Open Only for Cargo Transport Vehicles

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that the highways within the Republic of Armenia are accessible. According to information received from the Department of Emergency Situations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in North Ossetia, due to the state of emergency, the Stepantsminda-Lars highway is open only for cargo transport vehicles.

According to information received from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, the decision to prohibit the entry of foreigners into Georgia remains in effect. The ban does not apply to cargo transport.
