Five New Cases of Coronavirus Confirmed in Artsakh, Four Are Contacts of Previously Reported Case

According to information provided by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Artsakh, five new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) have been confirmed in the republic. This has been reported by the Information Headquarters.

Four of the infected individuals are from the city of Stepanakert and were contacts of a case confirmed yesterday; they had already been isolated. The virus was detected in one person during an examination when seeking medical assistance. Relevant work is being carried out to identify the source of the outbreak and clarify the contacts of the patients.

One citizen has recovered. To date, COVID-19 has been diagnosed in 345 people, of whom 301 have overcome the illness. Currently, 42 individuals are receiving treatment, and a total of 78 citizens are isolated. For testing purposes, 106 samples have been taken. To date, a total of 13,145 samples have been tested.
