Criminal Case Opened in Connection with the Murder of Soldier Hovik Tamrazyan by Enemy Forces

On September 16, 2020, at around 11:10 AM, under fire from a sniper from the enemy's combat position, contract soldier Hovik Nelson Tamrazyan sustained gunshot and shrapnel wounds to his left hand, chest, face, and neck while on duty at the combat position of Military Unit N of the RA Ministry of Defense. H. Tamrazyan died en route to the military hospital.

In connection with the incident, a criminal case has been launched at the sixth field investigative division of the military investigative department of the RA Investigative Committee under points 2 and 13 of part 2 of Article 104 of the RA Criminal Code. An investigation is ongoing.
