Turkey Expects Record Number of Russian Tourists

Despite the circumstances surrounding the coronavirus pandemic, Turkey is expecting the number of Russian tourists to reach a record level this autumn, surpassing 7 million, reports Ermenihaber.

The Russian Union of Travel Operators has issued a statement indicating that the restrictions imposed in Turkey due to the coronavirus pandemic have not affected the demand for Russian tourists to vacation in the country.

It is noted that the influx of tourists from Russia to Turkey in September may exceed that of August. Last year, nearly 7 million tourists traveled from Russia to Turkey, making it one of the most sought-after destinations for Russian travelers.
