Pashinyan's Administration is the Only One that Has Not Held Any Meetings with Members of the US President's Cabinet, Says Suren Sargsyan

In early October, Armenia's Minister of Foreign Affairs Zohrab Mnatsakanyan will visit Washington. "I hope that finally, there will be a meeting between the Armenian Foreign Minister and the US Secretary of State. This is the last chance to meet with any member of Trump's cabinet before the elections. Since independence, Pashinyan's administration is the only one that has not held any meetings with any member of the US President's cabinet. Neither have the country’s leaders met. This is also an exceptional phenomenon," political scientist Suren Sargsyan wrote on his Facebook page.

According to him, some in Armenia like to repeat that "Trump's administration is strange, that's why we can't meet.”

“I don't know why it’s not strange for Georgians, Azerbaijanis, Kazakhs, and Uzbeks. They meet and push forward a serious agenda. I do not rule out that he will meet with the American co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group, Andrew Schofer, right in Washington, as mentioned in the statement by the co-chairs yesterday. By the way, it would be great if a meeting took place with representatives from Trump and Biden's campaign teams," Sargsyan wrote.
