Julfalakyan Presents Documents Against Araik Harutyunyan
According to the news from the newspaper “Zhoghovurd”, a group of MPs from the My Step faction of the National Assembly recently met with Arsene Julfalakyan, who had announced on September 10 that he would resign his parliamentary mandate.
Our sources report that, however, no representatives of the Standing Committee on Education, Science, Culture, Sports, Diaspora, and Youth Affairs were present at the meeting. The attendees mainly included members of the Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs of the National Assembly – Anna Karapetyan, Vladimir Vardanian, Nazeli Baghdasaryan, as well as Heriknaz Tigranyan, Hovik Agazaryan, Babken Tunyan, and others.
Our sources also indicate that Julfalakyan arrived with documents, presenting the grounds that demonstrate that all letters directed to the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, Araik Harutyunyan, have been ignored, with no response to his correspondence. This prompted him to take such a step.
According to the MPs, Julfalakyan has proven in every way that he has made the right decision since he had no other option. Despite the attempts of his colleagues from My Step to persuade him not to resign the mandate, Julfalakyan has confirmed that he has made his decision, and those who know him assert that he is principled in such matters and will not return to the parliament.
