‘Joghourt’. Classes in Private Schools to Be Held Daily, While Public Schools Will Alternate Days: Details
‘Joghourt’ newspaper reports: Starting today, students in the newly opened educational institutions will participate in classes wearing masks, with disinfectants provided by the schools. Classrooms will be disinfected every day before and after classes. Instead of a five-day week, classes will be scheduled for six days to allow for shortened lesson times. Classes will be conducted in two shifts, with a maximum of 20 students per class.
However, ‘Joghourt’ has learned that in private schools across the country, classes will be held daily, while in public schools, they will alternate days. On this topic, ‘Joghourt’ continues to receive phone calls from parents of students.
In order to get a response to this question, ‘Joghourt’ contacted the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of the Republic of Armenia, where they stated in response to our inquiry: “The number of students in public schools is 36, while in private schools it reaches up to 20. This is the reason why students in private schools have the opportunity to attend school every day.”
Moreover, the ministry conveyed that for non-state schools, a six-day schedule is also established, with some changes made due to the long-day approach. But as is often said, the Ministry of Education has also faltered in this organizational matter. Time will show what chaos awaits in the public education sector.”
