‘Hraparak’: ‘My Step’ MPs Convince Julfalakyan to Withdraw His Application

A group of MPs from the ruling faction has been negotiating, at the urging of the ‘higher-ups,’ with Arsen Julfalakyan, who has resigned from his mandate, to convince him to withdraw his application.

Yesterday, a fairly prominent delegation, including the president of the legal affairs committee Vladimir Vardanyan, vice-president Anna Karapetyan, chairman of the defense committee Andranik Kocharyan, and others, met with Julfalakyan. They attempted to understand the reasons behind his decision.

Although some assured that it was Julfalakyan himself who initiated this move, several acknowledged that in these ‘unstable’ times, they do not want the faction to fracture. One MP even inquired whether his decision was related to Gagik Tsarukyan, suggesting that perhaps he might later be seen alongside Tsarukyan.

Julfalakyan ruled this out, stating that he has no obligations to Tsarukyan and that what he has achieved is through his own efforts. He insisted that the reason for his resignation is Araik Harutyunyan, claiming he cannot stand by as the sector collapses.

One of the meeting participants remarked that Arsen is a talented athlete and an educated MP, and he has not lost hope that he will reconsider his decision.

It should be noted that Julfalakyan can withdraw his application within seven days, and he made his announcement on Wednesday.
