Fire Breaks Out in a Barn in the Village of Artzvaberd; Victim in Moderate Condition
On September 15, at 13:46, the Tavush regional crisis management center received a report that a grass-covered area was burning in the village of Artzvaberd. This was reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia.
Emergency response teams from the regional rescue department and the Civil Protection Department's collective center for the protection of special facilities in Tavush were dispatched to the scene with one firefighting unit each.
It was revealed that the fire broke out in a barn near one of the houses on 8th Street in the village of Artzvaberd. The fire was contained by 15:03 and extinguished by 16:30. The wooden structures (around 25 sq. m) of the barn's roof were burned, along with two partially burnt fir trees and approximately 3.5 hectares of grass cover.
The owner of the barn, Rostom T. (born in 1955), sustained burns to his wrist and was transported to Berd Medical Center, where doctors evaluated his condition as moderate.
