Stabbing Incident in Gyumri Leaves One Dead
A stabbing incident has occurred in Gyumri shortly ago. Two young men have been transferred to the Gyumri Medical Center, one of whom was already deceased.
According to the Deputy Director of the Gyumri Medical Center, Armen Khachatryan, “One of the young men transported to us was deceased, while the other has been diagnosed with a stab wound in the lumbar region. Initially, we decided to operate, but after a second examination, we determined that the wound is not penetrating. The young man is not in the intensive care unit, and his life is not in danger; he is under observation.”
Khachatryan added that the deceased was 34 years old, while the hospitalized individual is 35.
Edgar Janoyan, the Deputy Head of the Police Information Department, informed the media that the details of the incident are still unclear and are being clarified. “I am aware that a call was received at the police from the Gyumri Medical Center that two young men with stab wounds have been brought in; one was already dead. Currently, the employees of the ‘Mushi’ division of the police are clarifying the details regarding the incident. Additional information will likely be provided tomorrow,” Janoyan stated.
