Amid the economic crisis caused by COVID-19, there is also good news. This was stated by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on his Facebook page.

“For example, in January-July 2020, the export of strawberry, raspberry, and blackberry produce from Armenia increased by 166 percent, with exports totaling $5.5 million. An important nuance here is that the exported products are mainly produced in greenhouse farms. This means that on one hand, we are dealing with the development of greenhouse economies, and on the other hand, the crops produced here are not dependent on weather conditions. As I have had the opportunity to mention, the farmer here does not wait to see how much yield there will be this year, but instead plans how much they need and produces exactly that amount,” the Prime Minister wrote.
