23-Year-Old Arrested for Sexual Relations with 14-Year-Old Girl

The Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia has confirmed that a 23-year-old man from the village of Khndzoresk in the Syunik region has been arrested for engaging in sexual acts and having sexual relations with a minor—a 14-year-old girl—between March and September 2020.

Based on sufficient evidence gathered during the investigation, the young man has been charged under Article 141, Part 2, Item 1 of the RA Criminal Code, pertaining to sexual relations with an underage individual or committing sexual acts against an underage person (2 episodes). He has been placed under arrest as a preventive measure. The preliminary investigation is ongoing.
